Abstract The Internet is an excellent source of information and entertainment. Children reap numerous benefits using the Internet for educational purposes, playing games and communicating with people all over the world. But along with these benefits comes a downside. Children are extremely vulnerable to Predators while on the Internet. These Predators seek to harass, intimidate and abuse children. Children must be protected while on the Internet, and these Predators must be put to a stop. We seek to do this through the use of our proposed Predator and Prey Alert (PAPA) System. This system will monitor and log a child while he or she is logged onto the computer and will also enable police to link to the child’s computer while the child is communicating with the Predator so that evidence can be gathered and the Predator can be stopped.
