This thesis begins with the review of important wireless technologies and information networks that are being used around the world ranging from 3G, 4G and wireless local area networks. Specific topics include history of wireless communications, status of wireless technologies in the second and third generations, multiple access communications, modulation techniques such as CDMA, TDMA, FDMA and switching and routing techniques involved with a primary focus on security of the wireless systems.
