Abstract Florida Stories is a collection of short fiction that takes as its setting the most distinctive state in the union. In Miami, a physicist is forced to face his inability to love; in Palm Beach, a girl relates the aftermath of her tragedy and its effect on her parents; in Central Florida, a young man comes to terms with the death of his eccentric father; in South Florida, a boy opens himself up to the adult world of sexuality and betrayal by performing on stage with his father.
