Date of Defense 2004-08-11 Availability unrestricted Abstract The present study examined whether or not differential MMPI-2 profile elevations would appear between African American and Caucasian incarcerated women. MANOVAs followed by discriminant function analyses found support for differential profile elevations, replicating previous findings. In addition the current study investigated whether or not experience of racial discrimination may account for these differential profile elevations between African Americans and Caucasians. This hypothesis was not supported in the current study, however, age and educational level did appear to account for differential profile elevations. Implications and future directions are discussed.Files
